Modern Vespa

I see this every now and then around my neighborhood but this video is 100 times worse than I've ever seen. I usually see like 3-5 kids being reckless on the streets. No helmet and running lights... Forgot to mention doing wheelies and such.

Not to sound like an A$$ but I would love to see one of them learn there lesson and fall off while popping a wheelie or getting caught by the cops.

There's a mob like that in Boston too. Got me real pissed of seeing them breaking all kinds of laws like that. From what I understand is the cops are scared to intervene in Boston because the kids will try to take off on their vehicle and the likelihood of an accident shoots up when they try to run an intersection or go off-road. Don't know know if that's just rumor but it has sad logic to it

Take the bikes and quads and put them in a compactor. Make the idiots watch!

I'd think they'd be easy to catch. Get a few blocks ahead of them, block the intersection and wait for the pile-up. Then load them all in buses and off to jail.

WTF? Maybe a spike strip? At least make them buy new tires.

I never cease to be amazed at how some people think they are invincible and beyond the reach of harm...and the law.

The organization of all of it suggests they are using social media to gather.

This gives real cyclists/scooterist a very bad name.
I hope many of these folks suffer consequences, as that will be the only way they will stop.

It is sad to know that Law Enforcement is without bite, as these folks would surely risk your/mine lives to get away.

Was it Moto Special Olympic Games? Did anybody spot a short support crew bus?

I think most of them are late teens or early twenties if anything. I've personally seen these kids ride around my neighborhood but at about 5 at a time... No helmet and running red lights.

I highly HIGHLY doubt these are kids with a real job or any money. I wonder how they are getting these vehicles. I assume they are buying the cheap $600 quads and dirt bikes from the cheap Chinese sites.

Roadblock, confiscate, arrest, FINE and crush those bikes (spare the scooters). End of ride!

True, you can't or shouldn't always chase them down. It'll just bring the public more at risk.

I don't know what that officer was thinking.

That was a bit extreme.

I don't care if they kill themselves.

What concerns me is that their actions can lead to destroying the lives of innocent law abiding people.

What inspires anyone to buy a quad in the most densely populated area in the country? It's not like Harlem is a hop-skip-and-a-jump to vast trail riding. I also doubt that most people can afford the space to store a quad, truck and trailer to get it out to open space.

Let's bring back 2003 and stop with all this wheelie / red light running madness. WOO WOO!

It didn't even seem like the cop was really hitting his brakes. He just ran into him and kept going all the way around the corner.

Police are there to PROTECT and serve. Not mete out harsh justice.

A human life is lost and so many others are changed forever because if testosterone out of control on both sides.



An unfortunate but good example to show kids who think this kind of stunting stuff is cool.

Yesterday I watched 2 bicycle cops catch up to a dude on a crotch rocket while he was stuck in traffic - they pulled him over for speeding and lane splitting. Pretty ironic don't you think?
