Hello all,

I am a new member from Istanbul, Turkey. After a few days of browsing and enjoying the forum, decided to post my first topic. Was interested in this forum because I used to live in NYC and drove a Vespa in the city. Now I live in Istanbul and just picked up my BV 350 Sport Touring in matte silver after trading in my 2009 BV 250 12K miles Tourer in black.

I was the second owner and was quite happy with it, however after test driving the BV 350 decided to purchase it. I thought the design of the 250 tourer in black was very stylish since it does resemble a Vespa with its chrome etc.

The new 350 engine was what convinced me to upgrade from 250, since I do a bit of highway cruising along the regular city cruising in dense traffic.
Also got the original rear case since I need the extra space and theres almost always someone sitting and need their back supported.

I noticed how different the brakes and reaction of the throttle is coming from a 250, its going to take some time getting used to, but the scoot is much quieter in all terms. I kind of liked the exhaust tune better on the 250, and lately it was louder than before, but may upgrade to an Akrapovic exhaust soon on the BV 350.

Will upload some videos soon that I shoot with GoPro.

Have a safe ride everyone. Here are the first photos at pick up. The black BV behind is the one I traded in.

Mert

Yes John fortunately all the models are imported with ABS/ASR to Turkey. Today I also had the opportunity to try out both features. ABS is very effective, the bike comes to halt instantly and you feel the hand brakes shiver just like you do on a cars brake pedal.
And the ASR is also sweet, I gave full throttle and the bike took off w/out any skids giving alot of assurance. Came across many scoots some 500 cc's at the lights, but the 350 just takes off leaving them behind for a while

That vibration on the brake levers is re-assuring isn't it?

I am an another new member with Berverly 350 ABS/ASR. This time little further north in Espoo, Finland.
I have had this scooter for a month now and enjoying it a lot. Great rides within city or winding country roads.
Thanks for all active forum members for valuable information about this scooter.

Just one quick question in my mind. Many times just after the ride and switching engine off I hear a sound like petrol pump or similar for a couple of seconds. Sometimes I even smell a hint of petrol, too. If I bounce the scooter I can make that happen too, but only just after the engine stop. If I wait a little longer, then it's not happening. I can't see any leaks outside and never had any problems starting or running the engine.
Have you had anything like that? Should I get worried or check something?

-MarMV-
If no pictures then it didn't happen. So here it comes (and no, the pool under the scooter is not petrol, just water after the rain :) )

I don't really know fully what that means, but you can find a conversation about it on this thread, a little less than halfway down the 2nd page by DRWestSide.
