Brenna said that she'd love it if any extra was donated to wayside waifs. She has been making little things and selling them to collect money for them.

Well there you have it Modern Vespa folks! Any donations exceeding the cost of the new scooter will be donated to Wayside Waifs.

Wayside Waifs is a charitable animal shelter whose purpose is to place adoptable companion animals in responsible homes. Wayside Waifs is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets. Wayside is the largest pet adoption center in Kansas City, placing over 5,400 animals each year in loving forever homes.

We are still $14.00 short, but several people have said that donations were on their way. I won't make any conclusions about a total until I have heard from those who have PM'd me.

Amber, you give that child a big MV hug! It is such a shame that a little girl has to be made aware of some of the blackest hearts of society this early in her life.

I can recall a couple of other times when MV members were tempted to donate and the reception was nothing like this. I am glad we waited.

But from the glass is half full crowd she is also seeing a shining example of the opposite. So maybe a plus overall?

My husband's bicycle was stolen out of our garage when the door was left open. I'll toss in $10.

At Brenna's request, any funds in excess of the $249.99 required for the scooter will be donated to the Wayside Waifs animal adoption charity.

I will wait until tomorrow evening when I get back from work to make a final tally. I know that there are still several people who have expressed interest in donating. It is up to them if they still want to donate now that we have exceeded our goal.

Actually, I think it is a "Bistro" rather than a "Sweet Pea" The Bistro is the aqua two tone.

As you can see, there is one member who has donated where I can't match their MV username to the name given in the PayPal payment. If you are that member, please let me know so that you can be credited properly! One MV member has asked to remain anonymous. If I have somwhow missed you, please let me know so that I can correct the ommission!

First of all, let me say that I am deeply honoured to have received a Modern Vespa Toaster for my small efforts in this endevour. I will treasure it. It is so cool that a group of folks from around the world would put their trust in someone they have never met to handle this project.

I've already ordered Brenna's Scooter, and according to the vendor, it has already been shipped and should arrive by the 17th.

A donation in the amount of $201.01 was made to Wayside Waifs in Brenna's Honour from ModernVespa.com. I will post the supporting documents as soon as I am able to get a few minutes away from work.

The extra $20.00 will also go to Wayside Waifs unless there are some other ideas for that amount.

I will make a post in the general forum to announce the outcome of this project. I will post a final list of all of the donors along with the total.
