For the last two months or so I've noticed that when I'm running at speed and throttle down (stop sign, red light, curve,etc) the engines 'burbles' and occasionally backfires----not loud, more of a pop. Is this a tuning issue or????

My 2007 GTS 250 has never backfired and I've put 15K miles on it. It burbles a little when I'm "engine braking", as did my LX150, but has NEVER backfired. That seems extreme to me -- maybe a valve lash or timing problem??? -Dan

Mine does it in 100 deg plus weather.
