My LX 150 has been idling rough lately IMO so I removed the pet carrier to have a look. I've been meaning to remove the evap hose anyway since I can't seem to master the art of NOT overflowing the tank while filling up. Correct me if I'm wrong but from looking at the PIC, does it look the evap hose is already disconnected? I guess the shop where my carb was overhauled deliberately left it disconnected?

It is proven fact that the bike will run better with the EVAP system off.

I undo mine temporarily if/when I overfill but put it back after a few miles.... Would a little aquarium air filter be a good thing to put on the carb side?

I follow the gas filling technique outlined here by a few MV members but always seem to get a splash of fuel when the pump shuts off. So is the EVAP hose in my pic disconnected

Thanks, i saw the Wiki article too but the question im asking is: does it look like hose "C" in the Wiki article is already disconnected from my carb in the pic i attached? If it is, i cant seem to find it dangling in my engine compartment. Thanks again guys!

i cant seem to find that hose so i'll try to go ahead and remove the entire EVAP system since the consensus is that it's not really needed in the first place. Is there ANY reason at all not to remove the whole system other than explaining to the next owner(which will never happen) why it was removed?

Not as far as the bike is concerned. In fact, it would probably thank you if it had, you know, a mouth.

That would be one talented(and likely annoying) scoot if it had a mouth
