Hello

I know there are tons of screen posts already, but I can't find any about the official Vespa Medium Screen, is this new?

I have had the full screen (found it to big) and the flyscreen (found it to small) Im hoping this might be the answer. Anyone got one?

Vespa GTS Super Medium Screen - 675048

Thanks

That is virtually the same height as my Faco mid size screens, but wider.

I like the Faco very much and would probably like the wider size too.

Should you sit up high, you will get some buffeting around your head that creates noise inside the helmet. I use ear plugs.

But keeping wind off your upper body makes for an easy ride.

Sorry, can't help you. However, thanks for pointing out that Vespa has that size available now. I saw SIP has it for 140 $ US, and it is listed as an available accessory at Vespa USA. I like that it covers the hand grips, something the fly screen does not. The fly screen is 8" above headlight, and the medium is 13.5" above.

A windscreen is a must for our scooter, so we got the large windscreen.
As I am 5'6" the shield is way too tall.

If I had a dime for each time Ive thought about shaving the shield down a few inches,,,I would be a millionaire.

I have that screen... At 5'9" It seems to stop at my neck so it works perfect for me if I want a quiet ride.

If its real hot outside ill use my factory fly screen just to get more air.

I sourced the screen through AF1 and had it in about a week

I bought the FACO mid sized screen when the VESPA full size ones were "out of stock" for a while. Can't handle the noise from the wind rush so took it off and luckily go t a full sized one. I offered it to anyone locally to pick up for free but no one wants it bad enough to even come down here and get it. sigh..I like the comfort and quite of the full sized screen. Even when hot if you go fast enough you can get cool with it too. PG

We've got those in stock and our customers have so far been very happy with them. It's pretty much a better quality version of the Faco midsize wide screen for the GTS. Good hand and chest coverage while still allowing you to look over the screen instead of through it.

Did you get the narrow or the wide screen? The narrow ones have been a bit of a problem for people over about 5'10".

I couldnt't tell you wihich I have. I am sure it is a fine product but yes I am over 5'10" but mainly I am spoiled. Have used a full screen ever since I got the Vespa. I had to replace mine after a wreck and they weren't avaialble for a bit so I ordered the FACO one. It will find a home at some point I am sure. thanks to you guys for superior service as always!

While I appreciate the wider screen in cold weather, I prefer the narrower screen for hot weather. I'm typically wearing gloves and the air flow sure helps mitigate heat in the summer. I change screens between seasons.

With the added Laminar lip it's perfect. Some air flow between screen and lip and the air is dumped just above my head forcing my bill forward baseball hat down. The hat is safe to 50. It also feeds air to the top vent of my helmets, except of corse the Davida. 5'11"

Wish you were in the US, I have one and don't like it.
(I think its because of my Height, and the fact my Vespa Seat was Lowered.)

If anyone in the US wants the New OEM Middle GTS Windshield, I would sell mine. I have $175.00 in it...

PM Me...

Removal of the headlight fairing is necessary to install. If
AF-1 added this to the description of this fairing.

I can't find any instructions online, and I'm sure that Vespa will only describe the instructions in Italian, which I do not read.

Anyone know what is involved in mounting this Vespa wind screen?

Why would the headlight fairing need to be removed to mount the screen? Anyone know what is involved in removing the headlight fairing?

I like the height and the fact that the screen protects the hands. I've been hit by a bee at speed and it can be a big ouch!

I have this exact screen, in addition to the fly screen. Its a really nice screen, particularly in the winter as it keeps the wind off my hands. I tend to swap to the flyscreen for summer.
Nothing special about mounting it- same as the flyscreen- just push the mounting bolts fully home and tighten. No need to remove any fairing, etc.
Enjoy !!

P.s. i'm a short arse at approx 5'7" so i end up looking through the screen instead of over it, but its just something to get used to. Makes the ride very quiet

I have the Vespa medium screen. Bought it around a year ago. I think they have been out for a while, they come in clear and tinted. I ordered it through my Vespa dealer. I think it was like $110. I only use it in the winter months, I really like it because it shields my hands from the wind. 10/10 would recommend.
