Best place to carry two reams of printer paper when the top case of full of other stuff. It improved the handling quite considerably.

I'll concede the utility. I despise the look of the front rack. The bread, cheese and wine however, thats my kind of lunch. Sadly it is not my employer's.

In keeping with the ongoing concern of some accessories possibly causing harm to painted areas, I've equipped (and recommend adding) some "Clear Bra" film or something similar to your scooter where the rack's cups meet the surface.
Avoid permanent and super costly to repair damage to the painted area on the front of your scooter! ![]() ![]() |

I have the damage from the front rack to confirm the above. I got my scooter second hand and the owner was not privy to this trick. Now my rack is permanently on even though I don't use it just to hide the scratches. Even by using the protective "film" it pays to check and 'replace' it every now and then.

Given the possibilities a new floorboard can be had, pre-painted as a replacement part. A front legshield....not so much. |

I think front rack hides beautiful Vespa face. I would use it only during long distance travel.

Yes, while I don't dislike the look of the Vespa with "racks & boxes" to carry the odds and ends, not to mention doing all the main shopping and errands. Yes the bike looks so very cool without racks & boxes as a, well Cool Scoot. Racing stripes, Mod decales a true fashion statement. However, for the past ten or twelve years from late March to early November I'm riding the Scoot, for my shopping needs, fun and my main mode of transportation. I could carry a lot of stuff on my old Honda CH250 but the Vespa can easily carry much more and the front rack is a major bonus. Again, the Ultimate Urban Assualt Vehicle. It's a very nice "family" man hauler, great for the evening BBQ, or a "Scoot" to work, a short ride for a $1 lotto ticket or just to see the sunset. For my bike, another bonus of the front rack is the end of that Vespa "Wobble"

I was glad to have my front rack today. I needed it to get the giant box my new jacket came in home.
