Modern Vespa

Hi I have two Vespa lx50 both have had the head kit to 78cc and derestriction done so get along a little better now. They are kept at a holiday home so don't get ridden very often, they will be left unbidden for 6-8 weeks at times.

One is starting and riding fine, the other wont start

I have charged battery and its turning over well
The scoot winds over but won't start and after say 6 revolutions starts pumping raw fuel out the exhaust in reasonable quantities
I have had the plug out and its wet but when cleaned up shows a really good spark when earthed

Any thoughts on what to do next please?

Are you saying you get a puddle of gas on the ground from muffler ?

Yes that's right it runs out if the exhaust while turning over on the starter

pull the fuel line off the carb to see if fuel keeps flowing,it shouldn't .Your float needle is stuck open giving too much fuel.Clean the carb.
