I just found out that theres a Piaggio BV 350, it claims to have an engine with the power of 400cc with 300cc size.

ABS and that power to weight ratio on a vespa would be hard to beat.

Honda SH300 power and Vespa apeal? wow

Given that vespas are piaggios, and it has "300cc size" Is there a rumor or even better a confirmation of a GTS Vespa which incorporates the new 350 engine?

Has been discussed before. The physical size prevents it from going into a GTS body.

When I was looking at a new gts 300 in my dealers the other week the owner of the place mentioned the bigger motor fitted to the piaggio.
He seemed to think that the vespa 300 unit was a Much sweeter motor if not as powerful as the larger one.

I've not ridden anything larger than the vespa 300 so not sure what its like myself?

The BV350 engine is as sweet as they come.

33 hp, smooth as silk and the same fuel economy as my GTS250 (I suspect that means better mileage than the 300 then ) and much longer service intervals than the Quasar series too.

No sir, Piaggio hit it outta the park with the new 330cc powerplant despite what your dealer told you.

I suspect he's never ridden one for any length of time.

I see the prices on the net and seems that the BV350 is more expensige than the GTS... Here in Mexico The Beverly is 87,000 pesos vs 97,000 pesos of the GTS (prices provided yesterday from the dealer for 2013 models).

Is the demand here making the prices inverted or that's the normal price ratio?

I like that one too. It seems to make much more sense. But it is only a typo...bummer.

I think with a shorter swingarm (and Piaggio regularly makes two versions of their engines, for small and big wheel scooters) the 350 engine would probably fit. That said, I don't think we'll see that engine in the current GTS frame. It's not a matter of size, it's a matter of power, as in too much of it.

I do think we'll see a follow-on to the GTS at some point in the future, with some version of that engine. Whether it's a 350 (really 330cc) or not remains to be seen. But I'm nearly certain that the chassis will be larger than the current GTS.

But that's entirely a guess.

Himm a GTS like body, slightly larger with 14 inch wheels and the 350 motor. I could lose a wheel for that!

He was trying to sell me a new gts 300 at the time.

If I got to dream up the Vespa product-line-to-be, this is what it would be:
<50cc in new, slightly larger and comfy, but lightweight small frame like the LX
<125-150cc 3v ~9-11hp in the same new frame, 12" wheels
<250cc 3v new engine ~17-18hp in new lightweight GTS style frame, 13" wheels
The new small frame and the new GTS should have the new CVT with clutch in oil bath.
Just to tease: a new retro-PX-style with the new 125-150cc 3v plus a 4-speed manual tranny. That should cause apoplexy among the NSM crowd by providing a bike they really want but... but... but... it doesn't need restoring, or tuning, and it's NEW!
Leave Vespa as Vespa, and leave the maxi-scoot strategy with the Piaggio Beverly line.
