released from the hospital rehab; said I was too experienced to stay ... besides, doc hasn't released me yet to lift weights.

So I'm home. Surprised that no one messed with Funky under the rain cover .... ok, I'm off to rest, my arm and shoulder is hurting me.

staples itch!!!!!!!!!!!! can't scratch the bandage hard enough .... !!!

Another week for those before they should come out.

OK, going to rest my arm and shoulder.

Ya'll take care and for those new since I've been away ... welcome to the best forum for the MP3 models.

Welcome back FM! I know how you feel. I'm three weeks into recovering from knee surgery and missing my MP3. During my recovery, I've made two modifications while icing my knee.

Welcome back to the scoot and I'm glad you are doing better. Although not 100% it sounds like you are improving just ahead of schedule.

Thanks fellow MP3'ers ... home health care I think starts tomorrow. But rehab, not for 6 weeks after surgery (July 11th) 6 weeks repair.

can't lift more than a glass of water with my right hand for 6 weeks. I think I've already messed that part up .... but .... hopefully I've learned what I can't do sucks and what I can do sucks even worse. LoL

Tomorrow I uncover my scoot ... just to sit on it .... I have to add stabil to the gas tank. Cause I know it will be weeks before I can even turn it on.

I'll start the day with my exercises for my legs, back and core.

thanks all.

You are doing well FM!! I am proud of your grit!! why do you have to wait just to sit on the bike and crank it. It will be good for the engine. Gas has already been in there without being used for a long time!

Onward and upward!!

After my Mom had her rotator cuff surgery, she has done extremely well. The only residual "thing" she has is when she reaches up to get a glass off a kitchen shelf, her shoulder "stops" at a certain point and she has to consciously push past that point. Otherwise, ferocious dedication to post-op rehab has really paid off.

Mechanic put some type of aircraft fuel in the gas tank. And not much at that, doesn't even register on the tank gauge.

I need to walk to 7/11 (end of two blocks) to get some gas in a container and walk home. I have a 1.75 gal container. Then I will add the stabil stuff.

Actually, George rode the scoot from his trailer up my steep driveway and under the carport. When was that George? Don't think it's been two weeks yet. Maybe by tomorrow it will be two weeks.

But other than for a short ride from the storage barn at Vespa Dallas around to the front of the building ... pulled up on the trailer, taken off trailer and George rode it up my driveway ... that is all it has been ridden by someone (other than me) .... and George said something about how it felt when he rode it even a short distance ... it really hasn't been ridden much.

Time to put stabil into it and put gas into it and run the engine for it to heat up to temp, that way stabil will be all through the system. And will help while being sitting for a spell.

ok, I sat on my scoot today and started the engine.

Now that felt good. Ran the engine for about 5 minutes, got off, let it cool some, covered it up and went into the house.

Shoulder surgery hurts ... but the 22 staples are to be removed at the end of this next week.

At least the surgery went good (what I was told).
