hi , can anyone help me out here , I've got a vespa et2 50cc (2001) and the petrol seems to be going down faster than it normally does ? I've looked around engine and can see no visable signs of leaks any ideas or solutions please
Aloha and welcome to the forum fro Hawaii. I'd also agree it might be being nicked, Can you find a safe place (friend, family) to keep it for a few days and see if the problem goes away, Gas stealing is the in thing to do over there. Easy rule out then we can look for other things if i still continues.. good luck
I heard of the nicking of fuel, but usually they cut the gas line.....
You might have a guy that is only taking a couple of quarts at a time, reattaching the line....
I would check your lines for cracks, and run new ones to the carb, if they have not been replaced yet....You have 12 year old rubber in them if original....
Mine uses more juice than I thought it would, but the throttle is pinned to max most of the time. I'm getting anywhere from 45 to 55 mpg. It's a blast to ride though.
