After looking around for awhile my better half finally found a basket she likes. The problem is that it's a little too tall and partially blocks the headlamp. I was looking at the headlamp bracket on her LXV and it looks like it could be adjusted upward. Has anyone ever done this? It looks as if I'd have to remove the flyscreen to make it work.

The blue bungee is just to keep cargo in place the basket itself is secured with multiple cable ties and its very secure.

We don't use the scooters at night but that headlamp adds visibility in daylight and I'd like it to remain as visible as possible.

Beautiful scooter and basket but i wouldn't point it upward nor would i keep the basket on like that.If you could bungee the middle bit down a bit more so it doesn't obstuct the headlight it would be ok. You need all the visibility on the road. You could ditch the top case and put a folding rear rack and put the basket back there. I think it would look so much better but's that's MHO. Good luck in whatever you do and have fun with those beautiful scooters. The LX's are so small that the front rack with anything large on it almost obstructs your running lights and can you see the turn signals with the bag on there. Looks like you can just see the right one but what about the left? Not seeing those is a big problem and even tho it's visible i wonder how visible they are to a car. Can she get a smaller bag in the same kind she has on there. That would be the best thing. Good luck.

That's a handsome basket, but I think it is mounted on the wrong scooter.

Judy,
Thanks for the advice. Well, we went back to Pier 1 and exchanged for another one. A bit smaller but the headlamp shines over it and it doesn't block the blinkers as much. I'll post a pic after we get back from a test flight.

Dave,
That basket or any basket is not going on the front of my GTV. Baskets are strictly a ladies item IMO.

That's still a handsome basket. I'm amazed that it didn't come from some precious basket boutique. Laughing emoticon Laughing emoticon
