I went for a ride Saturday night and the GTV wouldn't start unless I cracked the throttle open a little and wouldn't idle unless i kept the throttle open slightly. While running, I noticed it occasionally cut out and caught back on. I also noticed the instrument lights flickering. Once it stalled at a light and when I tried too start it, there was no electric power at all: no lights or anything and then started with a little throttle.. So am I looking for a bad ground, spark lead or voltage regulator? Or?

I've got a similar problem with my GTS 250.

Have you checked your voltage of your battery at idle? Mine was showing about 12.5 volts at idle which is normal but when I rev it above idle I get max 13.7 volts. I should be getting 14.2 - 14.5 volt range so something is definitely amiss.

I have bought lots of stuff from China but I don't know about a regulator. I would like to hear how it works for you though

I would pass on the China stuff. It may work but for how long? The regulator is not the easiest to get to so I would not want to do this job a year from now.

This is a good compromise. Even if from Germany with shipping it should be reasonable and should not take too long to receive it.
