What weight Dr. Pulley sliders in a 300gts?
I know this topic has been discussed umpteen times but I'm still not quite sure of the "best" option. I've searched the forum and the interwebs and maybe I'm missing it but I can't seem to find what people have put in the 300s.
What have you guys tried and what are your findings.
I'm not looking to race anyone on the freeway but I'm not against feeling some of euro2wheelnut's pull on the interstate either.
I'm coming up on 6k miles and want to be ready when the time comes.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Im curious as well Dr. Pulley says to go about 10% lighter than stock or about an ounce or so... I believe thats going to put you at about 12 grams

BUT.... The power curve of the 300 is different than the 250 and it makes peak power 1000 RPM lower than the 250

Besides the benefit of the "claimed" extended gear range
Will it benefit you to go lighter to make the bike a little revvier? or would you benefit from the Malossi upgear kit?

My GTS is a rocket ship using Dr. Pulleys that were 2 grams lighter than stock

My GTV is using the same weight sliders as the GTS but the stock rollers that came out were 11 grams and the performance cant touch the GTS... Still have a little tweaking to do.

Someone more versed in the 300 needs to chime in

I believe that the consensus is 10% lighter than stock roller weight. The stock roller weight can be found here: Standard Roller Weights

Here are the sliders: http://www.scooterwest.com/items/?_pageCCS=t#page=/item_details/Dr--Pulley-Variator-Sliding-Weights-21-x-17--9-5g-13-0g/9344

I would guess 12.5g

I believe
i put the 14 gram sliders in mine, closest to stock. Same performance in stop n go. A little stronger 40-65 mph. Top speed maybe a mile or two added but mainly could hold 70-75 better going up slight uphills. Fresh tires and the malossi red air filter also seem to aid at those speeds. Going downhill catching a draft plus the full size windshield I can push 90+(indicated). I also weigh 250+ with gear.

Thanks guys, so far it sounds like either 12.5 or 14g
