Now that I have gone on a few long rides with loads of switchbacks and twisty; for my birthday I want to ride the dragon. I will be going really s-l-o-w.

I am planing on Friday August 9th (if the weather holds). If anyone would like to join me you are more then welcome. I have one other person on a two wheeler going with me as well.

I will be starting off from Knoxville taking 129 South around 9 am. We will be stopping off for lunch as well. =)

would love to meet you at pumpkin center at the BBQ joint. right where 72 comes into 129. will have to clear it with my wife as Fridays is a boating day now that we own a boat.

Hmmm. Maybe. I have a motorcycle class in robbinsville on Saturday and was going to get up early and ride the dragon over. But maybe I could leave Friday and spend the night in robbinsville. Or I could just ride back to home and ride it again in the morning. Tough choice.

What bad weather?
Bad weather???? Left later than I wanted and decided to take the cherohala. Absolutely gorgeous day with no traffic. Only encountered three cars and a handful of motorcycles.

Rode Cherohala Friday and Dragon Satruday while attending Horizons Unlimited in Stecoah, NC.

If I worried about the rain I would have missed a good time. Yes I did get rained on some both days but Dragon was dry and 3/4 of Cherohala round trip was dry. It is always raining somewhere in the mountains. Carry rain gear and take the trip next time.

Dang Fuzzy! I was in robbinsville on Friday and Saturday taking a motorcycle class. Rode the Cherohala over on Friday and back on Saturday.

I was wondering if you were going. Even asked Mike at Tellico Outfitters on
Friday if you had been through.

Sorry I missed you. I heard there were some great lectures at the Horizons Unlimited.
