This bike I picked up has completely blown suspension. Just curious as to what people have used as replacements. My riding style on this bike will be general around town riding and a bit of riding some distance. Not looking to drop Bitubo money but I'd like to get something decent. I'm 6'3" 225lbs FYI. Suggestions?

You already know what I'm gonna say when you tell me your just puttin around the town or road.

I like stock.

If you want a nice soft ride ride and not rocket science responce I would get a fresh set of Gabriels or some oem.

I got some Stella shocks on my other P200 (which is now sold to the club for our raffle bike in the fall). They we're nice enough. My lady friend enjoys riding 2 up occasionally as well (really it's all for my enjoyment when I intentionally hit the brakes and engage the airbags ). Is the adjustability of the shocks where you can adjust the spring perches worth the little bit extra cash in this situation?

Oh I forgot to mention I sometimes ride 4,5, and 6 up at rallys. Clown scooter.

Oh and down the road I do intend to run the Corsa one day but I don't see myself as a "contender" per se. I'd just like something solid for the distance with able handling which I'm sure is possible with OEM shocks with no issue.

the BGM pros are Sebac copies, and are very good quality. I'm running BGM rear shocks on my P220 and the Primavera.

I just found this thread where it seems Jimmy is the OEM advocate, Travis and errybody else likes BGM for the slight performance upgrade they offer.

need advice on 4 different shocks for my 79 p200e.

If this was only about function I think I would go OEM, since I'm shallow enough to like the look of a "performance" shock to the detriment of my tailbone, think I'm going BGM.....any stateside suppliers? All I'm seeing is SIP and Scooter Center.

I don't know why folks post these topics when they state their intentions............and then do exactly the opposite of what they state.

Go BGM, its the latest rage.............all the kids are doin it. Nerd emoticon

I hear ya Jimmy. For this part it seems the price difference is modest and I'll be shelling out for new anyway. Really if I was going to go OEM I'd source someones abandoned Stella and go free to nothing. When you need something quickly though and as I freely admitted, I'm shallow enough to care, cool kids are like that. Razz emoticon

Anyhow, shouldn't you be busy washing Vader's bike for him or something? 8)

That's funny.

Reminds me of some character in a cartoon or movie that as soon as somethings dirty it comes around and in a flurry of activity cleans it.

Why does Finding Nimo come to mind.

I'll have to find a clip.
