Thanks for the post. Please let us know your thoughts on the backfiring, especially when accelerating from a decelerating standpoint.

Any recommendations on fitting? Just ordered mine. Watching another video, on different bike, says to change flange, remove db killer, wiggle on, tighten backend, then tighten front. Is that about it?

a couple more for fun... I prefer the naked look (no logo)... and definitely think it looks better than stock. It is also much lighter, much hotter (to the touch), better sounding, and louder than stock.

Very nice. Looking forward to mine, which is winging its way to me as we speak. I agree with the sticker. Will be taking mine off. If anything, to try and remove some of the "steal me" factor when leaving locked up in C London. Was there any noticeable performance difference? Did you have to disconnect battery to allow the engine mapping to relearn?

The biggest performance difference is probably that it sounds faster. I seem to recall that unplugging the battery is not necessary for remapping but it can't hurt. You will need a solvent to help remove sticker glue. WD40 is recommended for cleaning the titanium. Hooking up is not difficult. No db killer was included as I expected and was told to buy separately. I quickly got used to the loudness and also think it toned down with break-in or remapping?

The only backfire I ever get (if you can call it that because it's not a single loud pop or bang but more like a mis-fire or two) is when the bike is stone cold and decelerating from accelerating (like within the first block or two of riding). I doubt the exhaust causes this but makes it more noticeable because the rhythms of the engine are more noticeable overall.

I've told my other half that it's partly a safety device, as the traffic will hear me better. Oh, I'm in so much trouble

Did you have to fit the Cat? Will be ignoring that here in UK. Presume that would baffle it a bit and effect performance?

According to the place I bought mine "Equipped with removable db killer." .. It's just the Cat that was optional.

Now I just need to know whether it is an insurance requirement to notify them, I presume so.

Interesting, I don't think mine came with db killer (at least not a removable type).

Any thoughts on input airflow or roller weights? Just reading that these are potential items to also look at at the same time.

I installed Malossi hi-flow and bought rollers to install some day. I worry if the filter traps enough because it's so thin you easily see light through it. It did not seem to change sound but it helps me imagine extra power with the intake and exhaust breathing easy.

Interesting.
Interesting stuff. Just wondering if there is a uk supplier for some of this stuff. K&N seemed to fail on a BV350 filter. That'd be my first purchase, rollers are a future thing. On that note, if I had a few quid spare, any places I can get my power output before and after? Idea of costs? Sorry to hijack this thread. I am so looking forward to making this change. It's days away now
