We've had this windscreen on our LX for several years and from day one I was not quite happy with the fit.

It's not that the fit was really bad, but I also had the short smoked screen from Vespa on my GT and that one fit perfect. So, in comparison the LX screen just looked off. The main issue is that the cutout for the light sits about an inch in front of the light.

I finally decided to do something about it. I removed the brackets and fixed one end in the vice. I put the Pipe of Persuasion on the other end, placed a foot against the edge of the work bench and pulled till I felt it yield. Did the second support to match and reinstalled.

Now the curve of the headlight flows nicely into the windscreen. Can't believe I put up with it for so long.

Nice!! Should do that to the Vespa flyscreen of my et4. It too sticks out about an inch from the headlight.

Nice fix Patrick.

Funny how long we put up with things that are often a simple fix. I discovered a lot of that when we recently moved.

That's how you adjust the windscreen on a BMW, only you also need a hand-cut spacer made out of HDPE.
