Sadly, there aren't any specifically scooter shops around (and I don't trust the dealer I purchased from) so I'm going to attempt the oil change myself. Question is, where do I purchase the new filter? Online? Help!

Online is fine - look for HF-183.

You don't trust the dealer to give you the right part #? You should be able to verify the part when you buy it...

I get mine from Scooter Mercato. Genuine Piaggio filters...and they're priced low.

Get in online and you won't have to pay the mark-up the dealer will invariably add on. I never buy tires from my shop(s) for this reason.

Thank you for all the advice!

And to confirm, I don't trust the dealer to know anything about scooters - had her into the shop soon after purchase because she was leaking oil and they gave her back not fixed at all then kept her for 3 weeks with no communication about what was even wrong. I won't let them touch her ever again.

If you have any questions about how to do the oil change, this is the right forum to ask them in.

Max at MotorSportscooters has everything. If you don't see it on his website call them. I call anyway. Just nice to chat a bit while doing the transaction. Got a pic of the scooter? We love pics.

Yes, but that doesn't preclude helping a member find the lowest price shipped.

The Genuine Buddy Scooters use the OEM Vespa filters too so if you have a Genuine Scooter Dealer near you can buy a filter from them.
