Jurassic Park theme original song. It makes the opening of the movie look like and opera. It's like listening to an opera overture. This is such an exquisite piece of music to the likes of Carmina Burana and the Right of Spring. It takes me back to being a little kid. Its soaring melody is eerily beautiful. The hair on the back of my neck literally stand up whenever I hear it!

"Time Warp" and "Damnit Janet" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show... not that they get any airtime anywhere else, but some of my favorites.

An interesting thing I have noticed after watching a great movie is the number of songs listed in the credits. Most of the time I don't even notice more than one or two during the movie. That's probably because the others didn't play long enough.

"Weird Science" by Oingo Boingo in the film of the same name.
"Back in Time" and "Johnny Be Good" in Back to the Future. "Grease is the Word" or any song from the movie "Grease" "America" by Neil Diamond and "the Jazz Singer" (remake) "Xanadu" by Olivia Newton John in the same names movie. "Flash Gordon" by Queen/ Flash Gordon. There are many more but I can't think of any more right now. |

My favourite song appearing in any John Hughes film was the cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Lick The Tins from the movie Some Kind of Wonderful. John Hughes soundtracks are a fantastic slice of the 80's. Good to see I'm not the only one who listens to the Some Kind of Wonderful soundtrack! |
