Can someone tell me if the video in the Wiki which is for a 400 would be the same procedure as mine? I realize the TDC inspection port is in a different spot, but I've found that. But my mechanic (a non-Piaggio) shop wanted to review it before I brought it in.

Also, he was asking about how the valves adjusted - he was hoping they were the "screw adjust" type I believe he said. (pardon my mechanical ignorance)

Perhaps the photos on GTS valve adjustment would be useful (same engine).

GTS Valve Lash Adjustment
Thanks Dooglas, this should be exactly what he's looking for. I did send him a service manual as well, along with wiring diagrams and a video.

Wish the MP3 was that easy.

Success
Got my bike back last night from the Harley shop. He said the information in the Wiki and service manual was more than enough to help him figure out my MP3, and that the valves hardly needed adjustment. I also had him flush and fill the coolant while it was there, and ran me $270 (3.25 hours labor). Steve also said the engine appeared to be in great shape overall and he didn't see anything that concerned him.

I've done nearly all the maintenance on the bike myself, but messing around with the engine seemed way above my comfort level.

I do have one question for you guys though. I noticed he only used about 1.25 liters of pre-mixed coolant, but the manual says it has a 2.0 liter capacity. The coolant level under the cap shows it is full, and he mentioned using the bleeder valve. Also, the yellow color of the Motul coolant seems to match what is in the bottle so I'm guessing he didn't leave a bunch of the red Agip coolant in the system. Any ideas? Is the manual wrong?
