A family member is moving to Walnut Creek.

Where to go for scooter service in the area?

Who are the people who understand and care for scooters?

Bay Area. Should be tons of places.

It gets stifling hot there.

Walnut Creek is not a huge scooter town. It's a bit of an outlying suburb.

That said, there's a Vespa dealer there: Vespa Walnut Creek. They're affiliated with Rockridge Two Wheels (in Oakland) and I think all service is done in Oakland.

I purchased my Vespa at Vespa Walnut Creek and can confirm that their parts and service department is in fact at their Rockridge Two Wheels location. VWC is sales, helmets and some accessories.

Mapquest says they're 12 miles apart. Wouldn't think that would be a problem.

Still, a hearty vote of confidence for Rockridge Two Wheels. I've always been very happy with their service ( and sales). No worries in this move, IMHO

100% vote of confidence with a bullhorn and a sparkler on top for Rockridge Two Wheels. They've been my service people for several services and an unexpected repair. Hiccups/ Hesitation/ and free lift to the office.


They've been cordial, professional, thorough and helpful, and even helped correct a problem caused by a different shop with only a bit of troubleshooting time charged.

Your family member will be in good hands.

The entire Bay Area has a gazillion great places.

I hope CFargo is okay.

He was actually a bit further out -- Vacaville, IIRC. Almost all the way to Sacramento.

Last I heard his business was doing well and he was enjoying his photography hobby immensely.

I work in walnut creek and ride to work everyday. Glad to have another sooterist in the area.

I live in walnut creek and have used Rockridge Two Wheels for service and they have been great. The ride from Walnut Creek to Rockridge is also a lot of fun if you stay off the freeway.
