Any reason why this would happen. I have tried it with different people (different weights). Its a stuggles to take off on 1st (i assume its because of added weight). But when i come to a stop and put it in neutral it dies. I feel like something is getting pinched somewhere. Anyone else deal with this before? thanks..

And also check the extra weight is not engaging the rear brake. I had that issue when someone adjusted the brake, and then my manly (fat-arsed) self tried to ride the bike and it ran like a dog as the bloody brake was slightly engaged.

I had this exact problem...
Scooter ran fine except 3rd gear.
Realized the trouble started after my wife hopped on the back. Found
The fuel line was pinched where the line entered the carb box. I couldn't see it until I pulled the line out of the carb box...

Also, check your HT wire. I've had it sheered a lil' and then ground when 2 up before.

Probably not, but check it out.

I have a similar problem with my 65 Sprint (Pinasco 177 kit and 20/20 carb).

The engine doesn't die completely when riding 2-up but it lags so much I can barely get over 20 mph. It's sputters a little bit, but doesn't die, which makes me believe it's not getting fuel, but I've replaced the fuel line already with no results.

Next attempt at solving the problem is to replace the rear shock (which is still original).

Hey '65Sprint... what's your thinking here?

The thinking was that the extra weight on the bike was causing the carb to raise higher than the fuel in the tank, preventing the fuel from properly flowing into the carb.

Since the rear shock is original, it's likely gone soft so a new shock would provide the support needed for the extra weight on the bike.

Not sure if this is the right solution, but I've been planning on replacing the shock for a while now anyway.

Is there anything that can be done for the pinch problem itself without changing shocks? longer fuel line routed correctly?

Is the seat cushion pushing down onto the fuel cap or anything like that?

I have not looked at seat pushing the fuel cap. But i believe my seat has a lot of room under it...

Fixed!!

So it ended up being the air below. My air bellow as not not bellowing, but rather it was twisting while bellowing causing no air flow. New Air bellow fixed the issue.

Got mine fixed too. Not sure what the exact solution was because I made several changes all at once:

Replaced rear shock
Re-jetted carb (went from E3 atomizer to BE3)
Adjusted timing slightly
