This isn't so much a race as it is a ride but we like the way that RACE rhymes with TRACE. What can we say....we're from Music City.
Once we're in Tupelo, we'll probably stop by the birthplace of the King before making our way over to a barbecue joint where we'll eat and drink too much and stay up way too late. Sunday morning, we'll rally the troops, fill up with gas and head back north.
This was loosely organized event last year and everyone who participated had a ball, so we're intentionally keeping it simple again this year.
Show up. Ride. Get the shirt.
For those of you who don't know, the 444 mile long Natchez Trace is part of the National Park Service and runs from Nashville, TN to Natchez, MS. There are "no food, gas and lodging services on the parkway" so riders will either need to carry enough gas to make the 184 mile trip to Tupelo or have access to a support vehicle that can carry gas and other supplies for you. There are maps available on the park service website that you can use to plan your ride.
