Modern Vespa

I always enjoy opening up the forum in the morning, and see what was NewBreaking in the forum world overnight.

When you see a post,,,that has only been up for a few hours,,and has dozens of replies already, you feel like the place has been poppin' since last night!

How did Judy fair with the hurricane?
Where is Gary today?
What is catching Nightwing's attention?
Though Treppinwitz is in Israel,,,,,he feels like a next door neighbor.
And the one guy in England...who keeps posting the borderline inappropriate posts that keep me laughing.
It goes on and on.

Either way,,, I enjoy the comradeship that is shared here.

I like getting the news around the world via MV most mornings.

But wouldn't your life be richer and more interesting if Bitsa (the one guy in England...who keeps posting the borderline inappropriate posts) was your next door neighbor?

My town sure would be a hell of a lot more interesting, if that were the case!

I think it's hilarious, that you both knew exactly of whom I was speaking.

It seems that my horrible sleep habits shone through.

My computer is my worst enemy. That is one reason I don't want a Blackberry or Dingleberry or I Pad, I Pod, Pea Pod, Surface, Cloud thingy or any of that stuff. I don't want to send or receive texts. I don't want to send pictures. I can take pictures with my camera. I don't want any apps. All I want is a dial tone WHEN I want to use the phone and I don't even carry it unless I am going on the road or vacation. Then, I only turn it on if I need to make a call.

The rest of the world is traveling on the Information Superhighway and I am just cruising on Rte 66...and loving it.

That's what I am going start calling my "smart" phone.

I check this place out so much that I feel disappointed when there is nothing new for the past hour or so, lol.

Wake up in morning, coffee and MV.

Go to work take a break, checking MV.

Go to lunch, check MV.

Get home from work, check MV, play with the family, check MV, eat dinner, check MV, put kids to bed, browse MV in bed until I can't hold my eyelids open any longer.

Next day, start all over.

Feel like I have a sickness, lol, or so my wife thinks, only reason she doesn't bitch is because she's playing Candy Crush in the same intervals.

Oh yeah, and I don't even OWN a scooter yet! Still, a fun place to pass the time, good bunch here.

I seem to spend more time here daily,,,than I do on Facebook.
And that NEEDED to happen!

Same here! I've come to hate FB lately, unless I'm posting a pic of the kids for the grandparents, I can't stand all the "look at me I'm special" posts.

Well, that may work for you but I absolutely hate it when I learn about my family on F..k Book. I am probably old fashioned, but if one of my grandsons gets a broken collarbone, I don't want to learn about it on a public forum. I want to get a call before the world knows. If I have a daughter flying in from across the country to attend a class reunion, I expect a phone call or an email, not a general announcement on F/B. That line of, "Oh dad, that's the way things are done today." Bullshit!! Common courtesy should prevail. Sorry for the rant.

My kids should know better. They are all in their 40's.

Being in their 40's, I suspect that they probably live their lives on their own terms at this point, according to their own definition of "common courtesy", whatever that is.

Yeah, Facebook can be like that. Much better to come here and see all the "look at me my fly is down" posts.

Haha, yeah well I'm more interested in seeing the cool projects folks have going on here than the "I love you honey...", "oh, I love you back.." Comments on FB. Send each other a frickin text for cryin out loud, lol!

No worries there, I won't put on my pants for another 15 minutes. Not creepy, though, striped cotton boxers.
