It's just a little Vespa and you're such a well-instructed man, yet you bought a shined turd. OK.
Then I guess you'll not need the help of anybody on this little board. We obviously don't know what we're talking about, since you are the "high-end car" expert. By the way, we are immersed in vintage car culture as well. We have quite a few and have done extensive work on many others. But, just because we owned and worked on our own 1971 XKE 12-cylinder doesn't make us an expert in Dodge Chargers. Dig?

I'm sorry I didn't mean to come off like that. What I meant to say is that I do feel pretty confident working on the Vespa. I adjusted all the gear cables, lubed the zirk fittings, greased the braking points and so forth. It's definitely fun to work on because there's not much to it. I was just speaking in reference to cars. For example, It would be fairly simple on this vespa to pull the motor or carburetor and rebuild it myself. A jaguar XKE is a little more time consuming. Everything on the Vespa is pretty quick assuming that your have decent mechanical knowledge and some funds. That being said. I do like having your guys help. I am definitely not a Vespa export, but am quickly becoming an enthusiast and am eager to learn:) sorry again for the misunderstanding.

You seem like a cool dude and open to advice about the inner workings of your scooter. Might be helpful to also listen to what people are saying about the overall state of a Vietnam reproduction scooter seeing that you have one on your hands. Similar to your knowledge of the XKE guys on here are speaking from experience.

"Hello, I am selling my 1966 Vespa Super 150. I purchased it approx. 8 years ago. I have had it fully restored. It is original rally orange and in immaculate condition. It is a 4 speed shifty model and has the upgraded 10" Vespa wheels for a smoother ride. The engine is also a 5 port with added electric start. It runs like new. It only has 150 documented kilometers. (It is going up now that I am driving daily until it sells). California clean title in my name. I paid much more to restore it:) serious buyers only Please. If you are serious then please email me you availability stating when you want to see it along with your contact info. Cash only please. I have had my Vespa garaged since it was restored and it is in near showroom condition. Every time I drive it I get compliments. Thanks $3,900 FIRM 415 -***-**** |

Not to mention he's a lying sack of shit... he's owned it a little over a month, and claimed that he has owned it 8 years in his ad.

Better yet, you can Google the phone number in his ad. He's a flipper and a liar. And those "high-end" cars? Like the 2011 Chevy Aveo and the 2003 Honda Insight?
