I don't know the ET4 in detail, but on most of these bikes there is a ground to the engine case - either directly near or on the starter motor or to one of the bolts on the transmission cover.

Yup, Jim's right, bolt at the front of the trans casing to the body, just alongside the cooling ducting to the transmission.

Thanks for all the help. It wound up being ground on the frame they goes to the engine on the transmission cover.
