I was listening to Squeeze earlier today, one of their lesser-loved later albums but the only one whose concert I actually went to (Greek Theater, Berkeley, 1986) - Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti. Over produced, over orchestrated, and very un-Squeeze. But I love it. Memories, I guess.

The HOOTERS opened for them. That I remember. Blech. I ate at Blondie's pizza and bought a Repo Man "Let's Do Crimes" t-shirt at Rasputin Records. Can't remember my drivers license number that I've had for 24 years but I remember that shit. Wtf.

I know them as the Beat, they will always be the beat. The american version can go break a guitar string.

NPR is a great source for the blues on Sunday, history of songs and artists.
To bad they don't have a Scooter talk, like Car Talk segment.

Same here. I just hit 40 last month. The HORROR.

My problem was that I'm on my HS reunion committee and organizing our 20-year a few years ago, I was in charge of gathering all the music. So I have a STUPID amount of 80s stuff on my iPod now...like 19 hours worth. Put my iTunes on DJ shuffle and I'm just bombarded with it!

Since we're talking music and ipods & the like...how does everyone feel about using your earbuds while scooting?
I've always like to hear as much going on around me as possible. What's the consensus?

I am led to believe that it's not legal in Florida so I don't do it.

For some reason I've always thought it was illegal in CA, but regardless, I don't want to block out the sounds of the world around me. People drive crazy and I want to hear them coming if possible...bad enough I've already got the wind blasting past my helmet.
