After spending 15 min. making this tool it took me less that 5 min to install 8 pre-painted side reflector plugs
Pick a dowl about twice the size of the plug.
The dowl needs to be at least 6" long. 10" would be better
Drill a little domed hole on the end of the dole. So your not going very deep just enough to match the dome of the plug.
Take the dowl out to the street and scrap it on the sidewalk until the extra material around your little drilled dome is removed. Or sand it if you have a fancy shop. Hell whittle it down if you live in the South...
Now take the plug that you painted the day before and center it on your plug tool. Evenly press the plug into place. Use your fingers as a guide.
Special thanks to SF Vespa for the touch up paint. I will donate this amazing tool called the "Lucky Plugger" to T-Bone at SF Vespa.
The wood of the dowl with the even pressure will not hurt your paint!
Slow and steady and you will have a plug installed in less than 30 sec.
Greasy says to put a little Glue on the inside to keep them in place. I was only able to get to get glue to 4 plugs. I put the glue on after installation if they don't hold next time i will put a little glue on the plugs then wipe off the extra right away.
Hope this helps some of you MV'ers out their.
Sorry the pictures are in reverse order.
