I'm been looking at aftermarket legshield trim for my GS 160 because I haven't been able to find the original Inox 207. Eventually I hope to find it, but until then copied stuff will suffice.

I've looked at the Pascoli, but it says 'chrome' which I guess means it's plated and not stainless. Asking a question and receiving a reply from them doesn't work.

SIP has Pascoli trim and they claim it's stainless, so maybe that's the same stuff that's been marked up.

I then found this http://www.ebay.com/itm/400585460559?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648 on eBay from a German distributor. It makes a pretty heavy claim in the title of the listing as being 'Original'. I asked and the vendor and he said that it's made in Vietnam, but very high quality and as close to the original as possible. So, that means it's not original. Usually you get what you pay for, so the 120 Euro price tag makes me think it might be decent. Most of the other trim out there is around 40-50 Euros. Still though, 120 is a lot of money to spend on something made in Vietnam. No offense to Vietnamese products, but I've seen enough of them to harbor this generalization. What do you think?

If anybody knows where I can find the real #207 or has experience with aftermarket trim, I'd appreciate the feedback. I've tried cheaper stuff, and it rusts after a month or so.

The Pascoli is definitely chrome. I'm not aware of anyone making stainless ones.

Would say the link above for the stainless trim is a false claim? Vendor claimed it's stainless.

And then there is this from SIP regarding their 'Stainless steel polished' from Pascoli.

Maybe I missed something in the fine print that says something like "Original style, or like-stainless, or original-type" or other sneaky disclaimers.

The Scooter Center one on eBay says chrome in the description. I know that Vietnam has been making a lot of stainless products lately, so they very well could be making a trim set that Scooter Center is carrying. I have no first had knowledge of those.

The Pascoli we've had here have always been chromed and not stainless. I'm unaware of Pascoli making stainless versions of the trim, but SIP clearly labels it as stainless. I looked at Pascoli's site to see if had something new, and he only lists chrome, not stainless for the GS160. My guess is it's mislabled from SIP.

I think there are some language problems in English for both sites. I'm just going to keep the lightly rusted junk I have until I can find the original somewhere.
