Are the SHB main jets 5mm? I think so and I want to order these for the Primavera:

Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Yeah Jimmy. Should've done that while the carb was out. DOH!

Jimmy your response also had me thinking DUH I can try one of the Lammy jets for size even though they are all too big as far as the hole goes.

That's cool they are the same size as our 'other' bikes. I had a set of jets for the et3 but included them in the sale.

Yeah the only thing is you are playing in a different neighborhood with stock jets in the 70's so I need to buy the 75-100 kit.

I like to have variety on hand. I haven't seen yet what the PO did for jetting but I like to make them so fat they choke and then back off 1 or 2 sizes. There's a Polini kidney pipe on there so I'm assuming it needs bigger than stock. I try to sort this kind of stuff before I put any real miles on.

I have a bunch in that group you can have. I think I got them from you with the carb you sent.

I didn't send you a carb, just that idle jet. Must've been some other dude Laughing emoticon . Let me know what you have when you have time to look.

BTW I see my definition of "kidney" and "banana" aren't the same as everyone else, but it looks like this one:

Theres a nice baanannaaa on scootnet for sale.

I prefer the later for the stock or stockish 125.

If I went to a banana, I would have to go for this:
http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/racing+exhaust+sip+road+ban_24168000

SIP Road banana! I love the SIP Road pipe on my P200.

That one is a huge improvement over the traditional one. The old style you had two bolts that sepaerated the can from the header.

I knew it! There's a 75 in there, not jetted for the pipe. It just felt lean to my butt air fuel meter.

The ET3 setup I used a 76 with stock banana and the jetting was spot on.

My guess on your Polini pipe would be low 80's, this will greatly depend on your airbox. Is it stock or has been drilled with some steel gauze removed.

Are you running a Primavera top end or kit?

Airbox doesn't show any sign of modification. There's tape over a hole between the mounting studs. No sign of other drilled holes, looks like the material is all there.

I believe it to be a stock 125 primavera cylinder.

I ordered the BGM 75-100 jet assortment, that should cover it. I was guessing 80 but will try a bit higher first. Thanks!

Some 125's came with a 16/16 and others a 19/19. Which one do you have John.

It's basically the same as a Lammy carb, should work fine I think. I like my simple carbs.

82 didn't rev out cleanly, gonna try an 80 next. That's why I like the BGM kits. No sweat if you guess wrong!

What's up with the 2 prong spark plug connection, is that standard for smallies? Looks like you wrap a fork around the plug end. I'm not inspired to confidence by that type of connection.

If you don't like that old style, which I had on my et3 and it was great, you can order a awesome good cheapo from these guys.

I like the ones that require the nipple on the plug.

So long as it works well I'll roll with it, it's just different than anything I've seen before. Is it kind of standard with the older bikes?

Thanks for the link Jimmy.

80 feels good. 4th gear feels kinda weak, I wish there was an easier way to tweak gearing. Probably going to have a lot of 3rd action with the hills.
