Two words, Blue Norther

Here in Ontario they blame bad weather on something called a Colorado Low. I find that interesting, because growing up in New Mexico they blamed all the bad weather on systems coming down from Canada.

Michener wrote about the Blue Norther in Texas, it was brutal to early settlers because the weather would literally go from tee-shirt temperate to freezing in about 30-40 minutes. Back in the good old days, people would freeze to death if they were way out yonder in the back 40 when a Blue Norther hit.

Well, they are packed away 11 months of the year, so they've only seen about 4 years of daylight in 45 years.

I remember how shocked a friend was when I picked her up at Hobby Airport carrying a coat for her since she was arriving on a flight from the Jamaica on her way home to California. It was 70 when she arrived and 42 when we arrived at my house 30 minutes later.

Living so close to Big Bear I'm use to the cold this time of year.... The desert is ultra hot in the summer and hella cold in the winter....

Global warming is a fact. In recorded history, we can see temperature increases in each year. The "argument" isn't whether or not it is happening, the argument is if we are the cause.
