Have had some previous trouble with my Vespa ET4 2001 not starting, whirring on the electric starter then eventually nothing when i pressed the starter.
Charged and now i can start after an attempted 2/3 kick starts then pressing the electric.

All was good until I was running low on fuel, parked up the next day...wouldn't start at all. whirred abit but wouldn't start. I figured hey I'm a plonker and I've finally drained the tank to empty.

Filled her up via jerry can, but still nothing. No noise at all when i hit the starter and also, the headlights work but the indicators dont work when the key is turned on? The front brake feels slightly stiff as well?

Would this point to me needing to charge the battery again?? or a replacement possibly? the bike is outside and as the weather is colder...

Never had the indicator issue before just wondering if the headlights would work but indicators wouldn't if it was a battery issue.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The headlights work from AC, and only when the engine is running. The indicators work from DC, essentially from the battery, and if that is low or buggered (and this is the time of year for them to fail) then they might not work at all.

Get a new battery, fully charge it before first use according to its enclosed instructions, start the bike and then check the charging circuit is working properly - clues in the Wiki.

I wish!

No, just a devoted fan. WEMoto sell them avidly and are about half a mile from my house. Therefore it's mutually beneficial to promote them now and again.

They are pretty good too.....WEMoto that is. Motobatts are excellent!

Does anyone know what model number of Mobatt will fit an 2005 ET4 with the original battery well?
