Gosh it was 41F in London this morning. I can't believe the Bay Area was colder. Only a month ago I was scooting up Mount Hamilton in 70 degree temps while London was in the 40s. Why so cold?

This morning when I logged on my PC at 6am it was 9 degrees out. My wife pulled into work around 6:30 and it warmed up to 11 degrees. Its been hovering around 22 degrees most of the day. One of our more mountainous towns reported -30 in the canyon and -10 in the town itself.

All I know is I am working hard and hope to in 5 years move to Florida. I hope it is more then just a dream!

we've been negatives, and tied for a record low. I pulled the battery in all 4 scoots and have them on tenders (we have no garage...).

HOPEFULLY in a week it will be above freezing. Of course, this being CO, it might be 65 the week after.

Keep warm everyone! We tend to ride year round if possible!

50's and rainy this morning. About 70 for the ride home. I am NOT looking forward to the next cold snap. I am being spoiled.

I did almost lose it today at a stoplight when I planted my left foot on a painted "arrow" on the road. Caught myself, but I pulled a muscle. Poor, poor, pitiful me. 8)

27F is cold, especially if you don't have the right gear. Balmy here now -- 50F and a bit of rain. The commute tomorrow morning calls for warm and rainy though the temp will drop all day until the winter mix is supposed to arrive at 6pm. I've taken the Vespa to work more than a few times with that forecast only to find the scooter covered with snow at 5pm.

So I'm weighing my options now...

Exactly.

It is weird though. We had a record high here yesterday and maybe again today while the rest of the country is in a deep freeze. Even parts that are usually not so cold. We must be living right in the sunshine state.

37 and drizzling when my son left for school today. He took the car not the scoot since he won't be coming home until after dark (work after class) which means the wet streets are likely to be icy by the time he heads home. Given how badly people in Houston handle icy roads it is NOT the time to be on 2 wheels. Though frankly, while I'll ride in the 20fs I won't ride if the roads aren't dry anywhere close to freezing.

Who is buying new gloves, heated grips or jackets? I just bought a pair of Rev'it Orion GTX Gloves (based on VISORDown review). My hands have frozen that last two days.

Just went and bought a new pair of waterproof, gauntlet style winter gloves and a pair of tourmaster over pants. Next up is a good pair of waterproof riding boots.

It was 29 degrees this morning here, and last night I did a 120 mile in about 45 degree weather. I withstood it fairly well but I wasn't as comfortable as I'd have liked.

I have the Tourmaster overpants. I've found them to be a very good buy. Waterproof and warm. 120 miles though! you need a heated seat and grips.
