need help with pricing this rally 180. Help!

Very Good original condition. Runs great and maintained by 1 owner. I have a bunch of pics but would take awhile to load. No rust issues other then the exhaust superficially. asking 3k but willing to sell for 2.5k

Yes/No?

It's a 180 Rally, not too many of those around in "original" condition.

It looks as though the panels and rear of the scooter have been painted, it could just be the photo(s).

Again, not too many around. Good luck.

Cheers

Actually good eye,I talked with the owner again and he mentioned it was repainted stock color/ giallo positano in 1990. So does that change the price over truly original? Again I appreciate the help.

Yes, it's no longer original mate.

However, it's still a rally 180

Go check it out and take it for a spin.

Cheers

I agree , worth it ! If original as in front fork and parts , carb , engine top end etc...... Being the side panels are close to original color you won't have to strip the paint all the way down just base coat over .

Desirable model, looks like it's been cared for. I suspect many here would pay that price.

yep, $2500 seems like a good price... not the steal of the century, but you would be doing well to get it for that assuming it's as good mechanically as it is cosmetically. I like the color BTW, very cool.

Let's say, what would be the top dollar something like this would be worth in its current state. I am trying to sell the wife on the idea that my scooters are an investment and That I am already ahead buying it? I love this particular color and would be keeping her a long time. Just going through the song and dance right now.

Scooters are not investments. But they are fun.

You buy one, you spend more than you paid for it to get it nice, then you sell it for a tiny bit over what you paid for it. That's how it typically works.

Your douchiness is typical. I ask a simple question and you ASSume to know my intentions. Your probably the same guy who yells at people for mistakenly buying a bodge. Btw I have not bought it yet, just trying to make sure I am making the right decision so mind your mouth......

It's a story to make the wife feel better about letting me take some money and plunk it down on a inessential item. I would still have my 74 Sprint V from 15 years ago if it didn't get wrecked. I keep these types of things for the long haul. I just don't understand some peoples grumpiness when a simple question is asked. I can see why people may be skeptical, but I usually give people the benefit of the doubt in cases like this. Live and let live I guess.

Like your screen name. My family just came back from visiting Toulouse/south of France. It's an original US spec rally 180. Stock other then the paint.

I see where this is going, and no im actually one of the good guys that don't give a hard time to those that already bought one.

You're quick to call names and tell people what to do.

if its been repainted then its not original in a lot more ways than just paint. you cant pull some parts without replacements. a well done repaint tells me that all the wear parts are likely new/worn. which is good and bad.

but certainly not original.

Depending on where this is up for sale also has some bearing on the price. A Cali price would probably be higher than a Ohio price, for example. Meanwhile, it's a pretty rare bird. Hopefully, all the parts are there as some are very hard, if not impossible, to track down. Good Luck

What should I look for as far as the bad? It was repainted and looks like it's all there. But even if someone says it's all original parts even after a respray it could be quite different. Hummmmm.
