I have just spent a cold but very enjoyable morning cleaning my scooter. It now looks fantastic, am I just getting old?

How is the weather with you ?

My family in Boston, the original one have told me about severe flooding on the East Coast whats it like in the Midlands ?

Naw....just part of the obsession. Enjoy it.

When you can't ride, it's enjoyable to spend some time caring for the critter, and then you can plan rides and mods, and when that wears out, you can post nonsense on Modern Vespa.

In answer to Dave Jakarta Breese in the Midlands no weather problems not like the East Coast which has seen houses disappear into the sea! Glad to know that cleaning obsession is a normal part of the scooter affliction. When I was younger all I wanted to do was ride!

I do know my ET4 runs better when it's clean.

Shiny scooters are faster. We did a workshop recently and had the guys put it on the lift so i could see underneath and clean it. Happened to see a poor guys scooter bottom that had rusted all the way thru. He was from your neck of the woods as well. Got paranoid. I'm anal and old (tad and i mean tad under 60). I used to clean stuff when i was younger but not so often. Got that from my dad.He was always cleaning his tools and guns.

Ok, but did you clean and polish underneath and the bottom of the engine? Maybe I'm the crazy one for doing that...
