Welcome to Modern Vespa! I hope you find the forum as useful and as friendly as I do. I can't answer your questions, but I am sure that someone will be along in a few minutes who can, and will probably move this post to the Not-So-Modern section of the forum.

1 No, that's the throttle cable, the oil line is just above it. The gas line comes from underneath at the back of the airbox.

2 No, the screws are only for removing the plastic floormat, you have to get at the hydraulic brake stuff from underneath and it IS a bitch.

PS Got your message & just sent a reply

Good luck

lol, mine was worse. My floor was a lot worse, so I added reinforcing next to the center channel.

Not sure if OP is gonna really 'restore' or just get it running & presentable. Either way, I see he's gonna need a brake fluid resevoir(mounts just in front of the gas tank).

The nuts on the fork stem unscrew counter-clockwise. There should be 2 of them with a tabbed washer in between. Use some pentrating oil & let it soak in first.

Wish I could help you out more here, but can't remember the details - just that it's a REAL pain in the ass. Something like going in from the front and tripping a well hidden release pin I think.

Or you could cut away the crappy plastic glovebox & afdapt a P series metal glovebox to fit...

Did I miss something?
I wanted to see how also, but on Page 60 all I saw was some Cosas & a P w/ big fat windshields and a lot of French words.

Wrong page or did I overlook something. Mr Frog? Maybe you could tell us what says on page 58, there's some kind of pic there. but not really enuff to figure it out.
