Modern Vespa

I have had Vespas for about a year now. First a 2011 S150, Then the 1969 Rally 180 and now the '13 GTS.


Wow, just picked it up ECU flash, and Akapovic Exhaust I love this thing!!! More photos to follow up but here she is.

Black Speedo was the deal maker, I have a OE black speedo on my Rally!!!

Yes I did. Not sure on trim and such after the ECU Flash, Extended Warranty and the Exhaust I am not spending more on it for a while.

Now how do I tell the wife.

Sweet scoot. I really like the white piping on the seat.

I like red or yellow on scoots and motorcycles.
I can just imagine how it sounds and rides.

ps: I also like the blue, green, orange, silver, black, and white ones too.

The ride is VERY different the the other Vespa's in our fleet. I just scuffed the tires in today.

The SOUND is amazing. I drove through some parking garages today downtown and threw alleys between the high rises. Its additive.

I will let her know before the first group ride. I did an owners draw on my operating account for my company to buy it. So I got some breathing room. but I had to get the Exhaust on because she is a firm believer of using up the useful life first.

I put 3k miles on the Vintage last year. So the plan is to cut its miles down. I would not be Surprised if I put 6-7k miles a year on this one. I got the 3 year warranty on the advise of Ed at AF1 since he said I will need shocks, and likely a Voltage Regulator with that many miles. So they called it a safe bet.

ECU flash. What is that may I ask?

They advanced the timing and changed the fuel mapping so it runs a bit richer vs the lean condition as set up for the DOT/EPA, additional it takes in to account that I am not using the OEM exhaust.
