What is the deal with Rally 180 front shocks? I have a Bitubo rear shock which is great. Nobody makes a front shock. Is there some simple conversion I can make that allows me to run a PX front shock? I see pictures of Rally's with aftermarket front shocks, so there must be some trick I don't know about.

You can use any aftermarket shock that will fit a sprint, super, gl, etc etc.

here's one example:

Are you sure this is true? Why doesn't SIP list the Rally along with the GS180 for fitment of front shocks? There are several listing for GS shocks but only one non standard shock for a Rally.

Have you actually looked at the difference between a Rally fork and a P fork? If you had then you'd realise that a P shock is totally different and what Vader linked to is absolutely correct.

If you've seen Rallys with a Bitubo or something then it probably has a P fork in it.

We rebuilt my rally front fork with a new spring and damper and it ROCKS. There are not many options for the damper but this is very nice and you can get from scooter west.

I no longer have a diving front end, and it can handle rough roads. Sometimes I find it a bit stiff.

Yes that looks like the best option I have seen so far, and a great deal compared to getting it from SIP.

there's a lot tha tcan be done with a Rally front end; a good, proper progressive spring from stoffi's is where i'd start.

beyond that, there are about a half a dozen or so different front shocks available, ranging in price from $15 to $150
