After 5 years of riding I reached the 60,000 mile mark.

Yesterday (2/4/15) I hit the 80,000 mile mark.

12,000 miles a year. Not bad at all.

Last May I started a new job and now my commute is 84 miles round trip. Now I'm looking at 20,000 miles a year.

My goal is to see it turn over 100,000 miles.

5 years? Slow poke!!

40k. kilometers (25000 miles) for my LX50

Way to go and that gives me hope for my LX. I have 500 iles an i'm at 25k. Have you had to do anything major to it? SAK congrats to you as well. That's impressive for a 50. 8)

Excellent! I enjoy seeing people use their scooters.
My friend Sue has an X9 that is now almost 4 years old. I believe it has over 30,000 miles on it, almost all on our long club rides.

I've logged more than 60,000 miles -- but spread across three scoots I have that are all still on the road and used regularly.

Yes, the X9 500cc.

I did 120,000 miles in 12 years on my Vespa GS150, so you are averaging a little more than I did. Wish I could still do that much scooting.

Well, 60 thou at 16 degrees C converted to real mileage at 19 degrees C is like 68 thou. Things expand with heat...don't ya know?

It is impressive. You can't give us such big numbers without mentioning how well it's been working for you.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say about the temperature and mileage.

As for how it's working for me. I commute 86 miles a day pretty much all year round. I only take the car when is raining. So far this year it hasn't rained much.

He was making a joke. Look at your temp guage... 16C at 60,000mi, 19C at 80,000mi... things expand when they get hotter. Insert nerdy laugh here. I got the joke. But I'm an engineer so I pay attention to expansion of materials with higher temp.

That's what I first thought (after being impressed by the mileage). Then I realized it was the date, Italian style.

Yeah, it was a joke. I tried to add the razz face, but the system refused to add it. Sorry, sometime my way of joking is kinda wacky.

86 miles a day. Holy cattle, that's some distance. 86 miles is a good day trip for me. Safe riding.

I'm pushing 80,000 lifetime miles, dating back to 1981. Most of these miles have been since 2004 as I had a 20-year scooter dry spell prior to that.

Nice! Any crazy amount of maintenance?

I go through 2 back tires, 4 oil changes and a belt change a year.

The only other thing I had to replace was a broken injector. The electric connector broke off. I could only idle. It would die as soon as I gave it any gas.

I've checked the valves and have not had to adjust them. Since I'm mostly doing freeway mileage my brakes are not wearing out that fast. I think I have over 25,000 miles on them.
