Although only a month ago the CEO of Ducati , Claudio Domenicali, had categorically denied that he was at the studio scooterone brand Ducati , rumors of a proposed urban mobility developed in Borgo Panigale continue to chase . According to the site acidmoto.ch would even be possible presentation at the end of 2014 this mysterious maxi (above interpretation of how it could be ) just in time for the motorcycle show in Milan. According to these rumors , you would use a V-twin 700 cc 80 bhp of power, even if it seems difficult it can be to air-cooled Monster series , the more likely it is liquid-cooled unit of the new generation. A must , it seems, a first-level electronic equipment with traction control and ABS sporting Bosch already installed on other models of the brand Ducati . The new synergies with Audi seem to want to bring more and more to such a solution , considering that the market is changing and the demand for this type of scooter "premium" is gaining more and more users (as evidenced by the years T-Max ) . It is also conceivable , however, that this mysterious maxi , although it will be developed in Bologna , is then proposed with the Audi brand or some other "signature " of the Volkswagen Group (which, among other things, is the owner of the glorious brand NSU ) , of what is certain is that many times by the German headquarters has confirmed that there is great attention to the resources devoted to urban mobility on two wheels. As an owner of a BMW C600, I'd be interested in a Ducati scooter. If Ducati would throw a DCT or some kind of Twist N Go system on their bikes, I'd probably buy one tomorrow. I'd love a multi or hyperstrada, but don't want to deal with shifting for urban commuting. I also don't necessarily want ignorant power (well maybe just a little), but I have zero need for a bike with 150 hp.
Scooters can be sexy... I rode my scoot to the barbershop and it is normally filled with a bunch of testosterone filled sport bike squids and harley riders. I got nothing but looks of awe with my C600. People were really surprised by it and thought it was the coolest thing. |

As a Ducati owner and Vespa owner, I can say that I appreciate each for their unique qualities. I can't imagine why Ducati would make a maxi scoot, even though it would be the coolest scoot ever.

If priced similarly to the BMW, I'd consider one. No, rather, I'd pre-order one, and in red please - just like the pic.

The ability to tell the testosterone junkies at work that I ride a Ducati, would be priceless. Then the look on their faces when I showed them the Ducati scooter..... LOL. Now, I want Ducati to make a scooter just so I can freak the guys out at work. I can picture their faces.

Awesome, we can only hope and wish...
For me, if it does make it as a production scooter, it would be the perfect trade up for my BMW C600 Sport. |

my second scoot was a 2009 citycom 300i. it was an awesome midnight blue color, it had it's fender eliminated for a sleeker look, and it had 16" wheels.
the prior owner debadged the entire bike and then added "DUCATI" decals in discreet yet noticeable light silver decals on each side of the rear body panels. up until it went to it's new owner, i had lots of people come up to me at gas stations say, "wow, i didn't know ducati made a scooter? cool!" my response - "they don't." |

Why don't they just buy the rights to the Italjet Dragster 180? It was a scooter, it had the trellis frame, it looked like Ducati had designed it, it had a fantastic power to weight ratio and it handled.
