If the price of these 3 pipes was the same, which one would you choose to go on a GTS 300 and why, i cant make up my mind, Buster.

service after the sale weighs in. I have an AK, they have a good parts supply for replacement items you might need.

Performance wise, I think it's hard to beat PM Tuning. And it's a good looking exhaust too.

Have a search through the old threads on exhausts, as IIRC some of the techy guys say only one of those will actually give you a performance enhancement that they all claim to...

Iam not rearly looking for extra performance from the pipe, i doubt that theres any noticeble gain from any of the pipes on offer for the GTS, and thats from a guy who,s had a PM pipe, its just somthing i,d like to add to make the bike more pleaseing to my eye, buster.

I seriously doubt there is any performance gain from any if these pipes...

I only put the AK on mine cos the original looked like shite with rust and it was only 11 months old

I would also consider the Arrow. Here is the silencer:-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/53530ST-EXHAUST-ARROW-REFLEX-PIAGGIO-VESPA-GT-200-GTS-250-IE-GTS-300-IE-OM-/141131577031?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item20dc18f6c7

You also need the downpipe.

I ordered mine through Ebay and it came directly from Italy in a couple of weeks.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUSPUFF-KOMPLETT-ARROW-REFLEX-PIAGGIO-VESPA-GTS-250-2003-2004-03-04-/111127109003?pt=DE_Motorradteile&hash=item19dfb11d8b

Make sure you choose a taxed paid European source. If you buy from USA you may get stung for VAT.

Thanks for the advice roadster regarding tax, i,v been stung before when buying from the USA, i dont like the look of the Arrow, its one of the 3 i,v mentioned mate, just not sure which one, Chiselspeed are coming back to me with their best prices on the 3, i suppose if one is alot cheaper than the other 2 then that,ll make my mind up, would have liked some first hand views first though, buster.

I have had a PM on my GTS 300 for a couple of months. I went on the recommendation of a very respected Vespa mechanic that rides a GTS 250. When I asked which he would put on, there was no hesitation in his recommending the PM. He showed me another customer's GTS with the PM and let me listen. I am VERY happy with my PM. I put one on my wife's Fly 150. She is also quite pleased with her PM. I would consider one for my F250 7.3 Diesel if PM made one.

My pick was the PM tuning...great performance and pick up...smoothed out those tiny flat spots with the original pipe....just Luv the tone/note providing road presence without sounding like a Sherman Tank, cheers Mike

I assuming that AK= Akrapovic

I just picked mine up and I wanted to go the PM tuning route and AF1 convinced me to go the ECU flash and the Akrapovic and I could not have been happier. The sound is amazing.

I put a black AK on my 300 and really liked it. It has a great sound and looks fantastic. Nice throaty sound and a pleasant backfire. Very easy to install as well.

I guess not but maybe its a reference to the look of the finished product by not having clean lines with the finished polished look at the weld points...I maybe wrong.

its a point of difference on style not with standing the tone and performance outcome that the PM provides but each to there own... as I think the AK does look good but i don't like the tone, its to loud for me.

Ah. I kinda like the lines, a lot. Welds and all.

If there was a failure of the welding, thats' one thing. Otherwise, no biggie to me

I might have gone over the top regarding the welds Razz emoticon , its a pity they couldnt have blown the main central part of the pipe and done away with the weld in the center though, as i said at the start of this topic, its only got to be pleasing to my eye, plus iv seen alot of stainless pipes crack on the welds but to be fare these were on tuned Lambrettas and subjected to far more vibration than they,ll ever get on a GTS, i just like to add my PM 68 was faultless, welds n all , buster.
