I want to install a phone charger on my Vespa and I know of this product:

http://www.scooterwest.com/item_details/GT-GTS-GTV-POWER-PLUG/1708

but it is a cigarette lighter. It's going to be awkward having a phone plugged into that. Those cigarette lighter chargers are always super flimsy.

Is there a Vespa charging solution that is two prong, a regular power outlet?

That is just the thing for charging a cell phone. You can put a USB socket adapter in there and then plug the USB/charger cable into the cell phone. It also works for other devices that are USB powered such as GPS devices and GoPro camera. I have used mine for a GoPro camera many times.

This will work.

Does not plug in like the Scooterwest piece, but it is easy to adapt. Or you can get the alarm plug connector from Scooterwest.

I have an adapter that sticks out just long enough to get a fingerhold on it to pull it out. Very low profile.

Got a pic?

This is what I want to avoid. I will kick all that stuff with my knees.

Is this what you are looking for? Looks like it can be through the panel mounted. If your phone can be charged by USB, this will do it. And the weatherproof cover is a clock!

I used the scooter west socket and added this low profile USB charger/retractable cable. I wanted the 2.1A rapid charge.

If by "two prong" you mean like the charger that plugs into a wall socket at home, the answer is no. That's 110 Volts AC.

There are a number of high quality usb chargers that sit almost flush with the cigarette 12V socket. Belkin makes one, and there are others. Then just plug the usb charging cable in. No need for the big 12 volt plug that many cell phone carriers sell.

I installed two 12v sockets on my GTS. Cost was about $15.
