I've been following Walter Kitundu, and more specially his bird photography, for a number of years. He's always has unusual bird photos, for example, Redtail Hawks that live in San Francisco. Walter is a MacArthur Fellow, accomplished musician, inventor, sculptor, and probably a bunch of other things I don't know about. You can find his site here which features his photography and other activities he's into. He also works at the San Francisco Exploratorium (or at least used to) and has other associations several SF Bay area arts institutes.
He just published a an e-book available on the iTunes store. It features some of his bird photos and commentary about lessons he's learned from birds. Ms Miguel and I read/ogled/watched it last night. It is fantastic.
It would make a thoughtful gift for someone into birds, bird photography, nature, and thoughtful observation. Its $14.99 downloadable from the iTunes store.
I have no connection with Walter, I've never met him. I just appreciate his abilities, capabilities, sensibilities and thought some other MVers might as well.
Best
Miguel
PS. Sorry the photos are so big.
