This is my first Christmas since I moved out of my parents house, though admittedly I'm going back for Christmas day and Boxing day.. and new years day. I'm only 19 so I can't cut the apron strings too quickly

I thought it would be nice for those who celebrate the holiday to post a picture of their tree.. here's my poor little blighter!

Lovely start. I'll get one when home. Of course I just noticed the cats are beginning to dismantle the tree already. First day or two, a few swipes at ornaments, by the end of the week they're climbing branches and bending the wire leaving gaping holes in the tree.

Here's our tree. My kids did most of the decorating.

SeldomDaisy, yours is what our family would call a "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree; what it might lack in symmetry or splendor is more than made up for by its character and sincerity! Thanks for posting! As for our tree, not worth sharing here -- ever since we bought the pellet stove (best $$ we ever spent, by the way, except for the Vespa of course!) we have to have a "fake" tree as it's so close to the stove that a real tree would catch fire! Happy holidays!

May not be as big or as fancy as some trees around here... but since it's only my 2nd Christmas tree since 2011 (after I married into a Christian family... even if my wife is an atheist), it's mine and it kicks ass.

Why? Because our star is made of Gaff tape, and that makes it hardcore. (and yes, there's also a panda sticker on it... sort of represents my wife on that bit)

Live trees are friendlier to the environment. They take 6 years to go - all the while cleaning the air. They're mulched to become nutrients for the soil and when capitalism favors them, more are planted. Win.

Is that a 3.5" disk??? What's on it? Does it have a special meaning?

It is a 3.5 diskette. We got married in 1997 and I am in IT. That was common medium at the time. Nothing is on it. However, when I was dating my wife, I wrote love letters to her on diskettes as DOS. Batch files.
