Cheers! And thanks for this very helpful post. I made a sturdy tool (not pretty though😬😄) and finally got the stuff in place. Right now I'm however concerned aboout the pinion attached that connects to the driveshaft eventually, it keeps popping out of position when I yank the kick. But maybee that will sort it self out once I put the engine back together. If not I'll make a new post instead of answering an 11 year old one. I just wanted to say thanks!
