Here's my first scenic shot: Meet Sam ... he's about 8yrs old. Sam's a registered longhorn -his roots belong to some of the first longhorns in Texas. He's a big ole baby...long as he's on the other side of that fence.

Now you know why they are called long horns. They are a lot of them around Texas and Oklahoma, People here still raise them.

Why did I know that was coming

This was taken on Killiney beach about 5 minutes from where I live.
The island in the background is Dalkey Island. The white row of houses just to the left of the island are some of the most expensive in Ireland.
The one on the end was on the Market last September fr EUR30,000,00, about $41,000,000. If you are interested(?????????) it has been recently reduced to EUR20,000,000, ( just over $27,000,000).
It is a lovely area to ride in the summer and you don't know who you might see as it is a very popular area for celebs to live. Bono, The Edge, VanMorrison, Enya, and movie director Jim Sherridan to name a few. And F1 driver Eddie Ervine and Damon Hill use to live near.

And lady_n_red, Chris de Burgh, the writer and singer of Lady in Red used to live here as well, as does the real "lady in red".........

These photos were taken when Dawn and I rode up from Oceanside, CA to Joshua Tree National Park near Twentynine Palms, CA for Easter this last Spring. We rode up on a Saturday and back late on Sunday afternoon/evening. It was a great way to get into touring on our bikes. Joshua Tree National Park is a great place to ride through some beautiful desert vistas. Highly recommended!

Were you using your Sena units then?

Yes. They made the trip very easy and very enjoyable since we had constant communications the entire ride. This facilitated flexibility in "the Plan", helped us "check each other's sixes" and allowed us to communicate with our daughter and son-in-law since they drove separately in our car.

Believe it or not, there's wallabies roaming around (pic below, but not taken by me)

Five were released into the wild from a private collection in the 1930s. They found conditions sufficiently to their liking to begin breeding and became something of a tourist attraction.
