Modern Vespa

As I was searching for cool Vrspa gifts I came across this Starbucks coffee mug. I guess it's now a collectible since I could not find one under $70.00.

I guess I am lucky to have one already. But I must admit I am thinking about parting with it. $$$

I have two. Maybe if I hold onto them long enough, I will be able to cash in for some big money one day.

$70!? Redonkulous! I have four of these mugs and they were cheap.

My Sis' bought me the same Mug 2 Christmases back. Damn thing fell onto the tile and it chipped but didn't break. She bought it at Starbucks. Don't know what she paid for it. BTW the image is a Lammy, probably an SX or GP. Damn sure miss my GP, stupid kid I was. I shoulda' just gotten evicted rather than sell her. Oh gosh now I'm verklempt.

....they were 12 bucks at Starbucks when they were selling them. Promoted their Italian Roast....

Asking those prices is crazy. Paying those prices is just stupid.

Starbucks website says 8.95 ( doesn't mean they have any) but eBay has them at 45.00

My artist daughter-in-law gave me these espresso cups for Christmas last year. She's a keeper!

Well, we use bigger cups here in the States.

or coffee in the cup. Like my scooter these are getting used, but seem to be "holding their resale value" quite nicely. And like my scooter they do their intended job well.

I'm drinking from my fancy starbucks mug right now, but it was a gift from a friend a couple of years ago. I'm positive she didn't spend anywhere near $70 for it!

...now I'm gonna be super duper careful with mine... Not easy to replace

I have 3 of them plus one just like the Vespa one with an Elephant n the front. I keep money in one and pens in another. If someone didn't get one i'd be wiling to part with one tho. Free not $70.

My local Supermarket, had 4 of them marked down to -7 bucks on the counter

Debbie will happily part with her four mugs for $50 each. And she'll throw in this scooter glass (which actually is a Vespa) for the bargain price of $25! LOL

Paros is a "Starbucks Free Zone" (along with any other chains), but have a nice serving tray, from a local shop, for our mugs.

AV do you want a vespa mug? I can send you a new one? Got three. Sadly it does have the name Starbucks in the back but you can turn the cup forward when drinking from it so you don't have to see the name.

Thanks, Judy, but we will pass. The mates to that tray are available in espresso and cappuccino sizes, which I would prefer. However, we would have to toss something to make room for them, as our kitchen and cabinetry are quite compact. Come for a Greek Island Rally and see for yourself.

$70US I would be willing to sell or trade my Starbucks scooter mug for the Starbucks Komodo mug. If you think 70 is ridiculous the Komodo goes for $90+

This reminds me of when someone tells the guy in Pawn Stars that something sells for $some-insane-number on the internet. "Is it what they're asking, or what they're getting?"
Much like those mugs, about seventy five percent of the craigslist ads for Vespas and Harleys are also priced at $some-insane-number, but payback's a mother, so they get to spend all day fielding calls from people who want to give them a couple guns, a van that doesn't run but you can fix it up and make some real money, then make payments for the $200 balance, or make $pay-me-to-take-it sort of offers.

I dug one out of the cupboard this morning and had an enjoyable cup of joe. Life is good

Mine's in the dishwasher, and when it comes out it's not for sale! Surprised these are going for this kind if scratch, though - its not as if they were ever marketed as limited or special. Hmmm... Go figure.

Maybe they only ever sold seventeen of them.
