Modern Vespa

This is a 230 mile ride that Cindy and I took on Sat. Dec. 21.
This starts out with some freeway riding and then the fun starts with around 160 miles of great fun roads to ride and then you get to relax on the way home.

One more thing, if you take this ride after a hard rain storm you might not be able to get all the way through on Berryessa Knoxville Rd. The creeks run "over" the road at about 6 places. But if the water is 6 or 8" deep I ride right through it.

Nice. You would use the scoot to go next door to borrow a cup of sugar.

Sounds like a great ride! What was the total time on the ride? Any issues?

With stops for gas and food, we did it in five and a half hours.

It's a great loop. Morgan Valley/Knoxville Road can be 'interesting'.

Will do, this ride just came up(like most of our rides). Cindy was baking cookies and I was sitting reading the newspaper and I said lets go for a ride. 10 minuets later we were on the road. Very impulsive we are.

Dear rrounds,

The ride from Winters to Napa is my favorite so far. The twisties around Lake Berryesa (What is it? 121 and 128?) were MADE for two-wheelers. I'm not comfortable with freeway riding on my GT200, so I take the river road north to Woodland. From there, I get on the county roads, through the farmland, around "Aggietown" to get to Winters. Hope you win that lottery and get that house - I'll settle for a postcard.

Sounds like you had a lovely day. The spur of the moment rides are awesome! This is what scooters are made for. Its all about the journey and doing it with great company.
