Here comes another new year. A.M.F. 2013.

My inner child is looking forward to How to Train Your Dragon 2.

My scooter soul is looking forward to more riding next spring with more scooter friends.

My PTW brain is looking foward to the International Motorcycle Show to help get me through this long cold winter. And a few other projects.

What are you all looking forward to in the upcoming year?

Ah, no concrete plans yet, though scooter-wise want to actually show up at some events rather than just read about them. Maybe I'll actually run into you in Lake Geneva or somewhere. Also want to take longer solo rides, which I haven't done much of.

Maybe finally get the trip in to Italy I've put off for several years.

And, get some backyard chickens! They're actually waiting for me at my mom's farm. I can have the pick of the litter, so to speak.

I almost pulled the trigger on a larger Vespa on Craigslist this year, but talked myself out of it as I couldn't find time to go check it out. Can't say I'll have the same restraint next year.

If I could control my future as much as I'd like to:

I look forward to moving to the west coast or someplace exciting. Getting a dream job where I solve peoples' problems. Enjoying seeing my kids grow and learn new things. Getting my wife to OK another Vespa or maybe a nice Triumph Bonneville. Some small building projects in our new home. Making some good friends and celebrating milestones.

Scoot - riding the GT more. I didn't ride it much this year, for a variety of reasons, and I think I need to fix that. I also am dreaming of a pipe I won't get, but whatever.

Family - my daughter and I will start exploring more. Our mobility will be higher with a car next year, that'll make a big difference.

Personal - Gonna push my photography business more. This is exciting to me. I also look forward to my day job developing, building out my team, doing stuff like that.

^^^^ At my age, this is top of the list.

Looking forward to the annual confab of the Vespa Club del Mediterraneo. Wonderful folks sharing wonderful fun.

Seeing all my friends and family enjoy good times and good health.

Getting my passport renewed after two years of limiting travel to the US.

Traveling through Western Canada while running the entire Scooter Cannonball Run 2014.

Traveling to Switzerland, Germany and Italy with my family.

A trip to Bermuda to show my daughter the place of her birth.

Taking a very long ride on the Honda.

I might not be able to do all of them in 2014, but it is all part of an effort to enjoy life more. A continuation of the what I started in 2013.

Hoping that my health stays the same. Testing out my new knee on some good New England hikes. Welcoming my 60th b'day in a month. Both my parents died at 45 so i'm the first in my nuclear family to reach the big 60. Hanging out with my friends and maybe some more traveling. Riding my scooter as much as possible.

Pee Wee's back? Think I'll add that to my list too.

I am looking forward to riding my scooter and exploring more of my home state(Alabama). I aspire to get a photo of my scooter in front of the courthouses of each county seat in all 67 counties. It may seem crazy to some but I love adventure. Why do I want to do it? It would be fun and I would have a goal to achieve during the trip(s). I plan to spread it out over numerous weekends and maybe camp out some too. I would love to do all the state capitols too but don't think I'll be able to. I can however live vicariously through all of you.

Health - have my bariatric surgery and improve my overall health

Family - enjoy my two kids as much as I can, inject some fun back into my life!

Travel - LA as always (family), I'd love to go back to Hong Kong or Japan next year too, also a trip to Sri Lanka

Personal - pass my part 1 and part 2 tests, move up to a bigger motorcycle. I've decided on retro - either a Bonnie, or Kawasaki W800. I'll keep my LX too.

That is how I hope 2014 shapes up for me.

We should visit this thread a year from now and see how close we all came to our goals and aspirations.

Financial stability - that's pretty much the key for the rest of our wishes to fall in place, isn't it? It takes money to afford the things we want in life, things beyond love...

Here is a less narcissistic wish. I wish the best of fortune to those I love and the dear friends I have met on this forum.

rounding out the new/old et4 i just got (2002 with only 88 miles),,,yay!! ,,,and since i live in california no shifty vespas ,,so a (gasp) stella 4t is in the cards for me next year

What I want for next year: 1)A safe trip to and from Korea to LAX,
2)To quit drumming altogether (fat chance of that one, even though I'm bored of it.)
3)To learn to play the bamboo flute better (both bansuri and dizi.)
4)The Primavera.
And that's pretty much it.......

The Stella isn't that bad. Just the 08'-09' ones that had the most problems.

As a bassist myself, please don't quit. Find a new group to play with!

Well my work closed after a 34 year career. I was hoping for a few more but ....
So for next year I think about a nice trip. China and surrounding asian countries. Bali or Australia. I will go for 3-4 months.

- Finding a full time house gig as a Chief Engineer or Technical Director: No more touring or seasonal venue work

- Getting the GTS250 fully- rebuilt to 100%

- *possibly* riding to AmeriVespa

- Getting back in shape now that I have the time and, for the first time in my living in the US, actual health insurance!!!!

- *possibly* looking into buying a small house if the first part of the list comes to be

The new Godzilla movie.

Having the "Bonneville Bee" live up to its true potential and runn a 155 right off the trailer, play more gigs with my band, JoJo Way, and of course, more scootin'!

3 months of radiation starting in January to make me completely cancer free.

Easter in Portugal with my family and four other families of friends from Spain.

Meeting more MV members in person. The four members I have met so far have been a lot of fun and very friendly.
